Typeface Foundries

Veer is an excellent typeface foundry.  I personally love how well it is organized by collection and category.  Usually I have a specific type look in mind, so it is great to be able to quickly view exactly what I want.  Veer has many different styles and variations of type to choose from.  I am especially fond of the Feel Script typeface.  I like script fonts and this one is exceptionally rendered.  The curves lead the eye well through the text in lieu of serifs. Overall, the entire website lends the designer a great sense of ease in the tedious task of looking for typefaces.

I am also a fan of Pampatype.  The Pampatype Typeface Foundry is also very well organized, but with a less commercial feel than Veer.  Pampatype feels warm and inviting from the first click. Pampatype does not have a many typefaces as Veer, but the ones they do have are all equally pleasant.  I can easily imagine using the Pampatype typefaces in many projects in my future.

My final choice of typeface foundry is Virusfonts.  This foundry has a completely different style than the previous two.  It is edgy and raw.  These typefaces are also limited, but look fantastic whether viewed independently or together.  As a collection they fit well together, but by themselves they develop their own personality and potential.  I enjoy the Mancholia typeface most, as it is very expressive and is a unique blend of many different styles.
